This page contains UCFB Undergraduate Scholarship & Bursary Programme information for September 2018 entry. These awards are only open to applicants who have already applied to UCFB and received or accepted an offer.

We are pleased to announce that our 2018 Means Tested Bursary scheme is now open. Students who have already applied to UCFB and received or accepted an offer can apply for a bursary using the online application form.

UCFB is proud to announce its 2018 Scholarships Scheme which has been designed to encourage students to embrace their time at UCFB and graduate with more than just their university degree.

These initiatives not only offer students the chance to earn money off their tuition fees, but also gain a number of individual skills that will enhance their CV, employment prospects and enhance their overall UCFB experience.

UCFB Means Tested Bursaries+

Studying for a degree and particularly living away from home can be an expensive experience for applicants, particularly applicants living in London or from low income backgrounds.

The means tested bursary is intended to help level the playing field for students from lower income backgrounds and to ensure that higher education is for everybody. Assessments will be made based on your household income, expected accommodation/travel costs and the expected amount of tuition fee loan you would be eligible for.

The Bursaries can be taken in one of the following formats:

  • Contribution towards UCFB Partner accommodation
  • Travelcard from term time address to campus for 1 year.
  • Tuition fee reduction (only for applicants not eligible to receive a tuition fee loan)

There may be an opportunity to extend your support package into years two and three of a student’s study, subject to meeting the declared criteria.

UCFB Wembley

Students classified as Home/EU status with a residual household income of up to £40,000 may apply for a UCFB Wembley means tested bursary. Each bursary will be valued up to £3,500 and a limited number will be available.

UCFB Etihad Campus

Students classified as Home status with a residual household income of up to £25,000 may apply for a UCFB Etihad Campus means tested bursary. Each bursary will be valued up to £1,500 and a limited number will be available.

Please note that applicants who are eligible to receive maintenance loans from Student Finance England must apply for this funding and permit SFE to share your information with us as part of the application. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be able to receive a means tested bursary from UCFB.

Applicants not eligible for SFE Maintenance loans (e.g. EU students) are welcome to apply for UCFB Means Tested Bursary but will have to provide evidence of household income.

There may be an opportunity to extend your support package into years two and three of a student’s study, subject to meeting the declared criteria. More information will be sent on this to all eligible students in April 2018

  • Awards issued by – Friday 6th July 2018
