You’ll also have the time to speak a number of UCFB staff, including:

  • Academic – find out more about your preferred degree programme and who’ll be leading it;
  • Admissions – our team will be able to explain to you the entry procedure for each degree programme, such as the grades required;
  • Student Finance – ask questions about student finance, loans and how to fund your degree;
  • Scholarships and bursaries – we offer a number of initiatives to help fund your studies, find out more from our team;
  • Future Students Team – talk to our dedicated team about all aspects of your application to UCFB.

Accommodation+

There will also be the chance to look around our partner’s halls of residence on the day. Simply visit before your chosen Open Day slot to see the types of rooms available, as well as the great living facilities on offer.

What time do I need to be there?

What should I do if I can’t attend any of the Open Evening dates listed on the website?

If you cannot attend any of the Open Evening dates currently listed on our website, then don’t worry as we hold Open Evenings on a regular basis throughout the year. Please keep an eye on our website over the coming months for further dates. Otherwise, if you would like to arrange a one to one visit with one of our Future Students team at either of our campuses, then please contact mastersenquiries@ucfb.com.

Will I be there all evening?

No, you will not need to be there all evening. The UCFB Open Evenings will run at the following times:

Evening session: 6.30pm – 9pm.

How do I get there on public transport?

Please make your way to the Club Wembley main entrance, as shown on the map.

Access from Wembley Park station:

As you approach Wembley Stadium along Olympic Way, remain at street level and walk under the pedestrian walkway. Straight in front of you is the Club Wembley main entrance.

Access from Wembley Stadium and Wembley Central stations:

From Wembley Central, turn right out of the station and walk down the High Road. Turn left at the triangle, towards Wembley Stadium station. Cross White Horse Bridge and turn left onto Wembley Park Boulevard, and follow the path in front of the London Designer Outlet. Once you reach Wembley Arena on your left, turn right and walk under the pedestrian walk way. The Club Wembley main entrance is at the top of this road.

Access by car:

Make your way to the Stadium and follow signs for the Yellow Car Park off Engineers Way. Postcode – HA9 0EG.

Access from the Yellow Car Park:

Exit the car park on foot onto Engineers Way. Turn right and walk along the road until you reach the zebra crossing. Cross the road and turn left on Olympic Way. The Club Wembley main entrance is at the top of this road.

How many guests can I bring?

You can bring a maximum of two guests on the evening. Please state the name of the guests you intend to bring on your booking form.

How do I cancel/rebook?

If you wish to cancel your UCFB Open Evening booking or rebook for a new date, please email opendays@ucfb.com.

Who do I email if I can’t make it?

If you can no longer make it on the evening, please email opendays@ucfb.com and a member of our events team will get back in touch with you to rebook for the next available Open Evening date.

Who will be there on the evening?

The event will give you the opportunity to learn more about our unique degrees taught from within a living environment of football and sports industries. You will have a chance to meet students and academics, explore our facilities and ask any questions that you have about our degrees. We will also have experts ready to answer questions in the following areas: admissions; student finance; scholarships and bursaries; accommodation; students’ union; athletic union; learning support; student services and employability and careers in sport.

Will I have to pay for parking?

Parking is free on the evening. Please make sure you include the vehicle registration number and vehicle model on your booking form if you wish to park on the day.

Yellow Car Park on Engineers Way.

Please note vehicle registrations can only be validated if they are registered at least 24 hours before the event. You can email your vehicle registration and vehicle make to opendays@ucfb.com.

Will I have a guide for the evening?

UCFB staff will be on hand throughout the evening to make sure you find your way round the stadium and help you follow the schedule of events.

I booked my place on the UCFB Open Evening a while ago, am I still booked on? How can I check?

If you received a confirmation email from us, then your place is booked. However, if you would like to check for any reason, please contact opendays@ucfb.com and we’ll be able to confirm your booking for you.

My guests have changed, how do I let you know?

If your guest names change, please email opendays@ucfb.com who will be able to update your booking.

Will I require ID?

All attendees, including their guests, will be asked to provide a form of ID, for example a driving licence, passport or bank card, during the registration process on the day. Bag checks will also be carried out for security reasons.

Can I bring my application and documents with me?

You are welcome to bring your application and documents with you, our admissions team will be in hand to go through them during the breaks. However, we may not always be able to confirm immediately if an offer can be made – but you should hear from us shortly afterwards.

Will there be refreshments and food available?

We will have light refreshments available, however we request that you don’t bring your own meals to the event.

All Open Evening attendees should drive at the Etihad Campus via Gate 7 on Ashton New Road (A662) and park in the Grey Car Park.

Our reception is located at the East Stand entrance (entrance F). South Stand car parking is complimentary for our guests.

Access by Tram:

The Metrolink tram system is also a great way of accessing the Etihad Stadium. Please board the Ashton-under-Lyne or Etihad Campus routes. The journey takes approximately 11 minutes from Piccadilly station and then reception is a short walk from the tram stop.
