Living & Studying in the UK
UCFB students study in and around two of the most iconic stadiums in the world at Wembley Stadium, London, and the Etihad Stadium, Manchester.
The opportunity for students to start their careers in the football, sport and events industries at one of UCFB’s state-of-the-art campuses offers the rare chance to call these stunning stadiums home for three years, where not only will students learn but also hear from industry experts and get the chance to expand their professional network.
But it’s not just the campuses that will make a student’s time at UCFB a unique and rewarding experience, it’s also the opportunity to live, work and play in two of the UK’s most popular and multi-cultural cities. There are an abundance of world famous football teams, live music venues, museums and eye-catching landmarks in the vicinity of the UCFB campus locations.
Manchester plays host to the famous United and City, with both clubs now lead by the two biggest names in football management – Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola. Students based at UCFB Wembley also have easy access to a number of elite clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Beyond football, both cities offer top rugby union sides, elite cricket teams and venues and facilities to cater for all manner of sports, whether watching or participating.
London, England’s capital, is one of few cities in the world to offer a landmark on nearly every street corner. Less than 30 minutes from the Wembley Stadium campus and student accommodation are landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Hyde Park.
Also within easy reach are an abundance of galleries and museums, as well as the beating heart of the city – the River Thames.
Less than two hours from London are other famous and vibrant cities including the historic Oxford and Cambridge, Birmingham and the cool coastal vibes of Brighton.
A little over two hours from UCFB Wembley is the UCFB Etihad Campus, just minutes from the city centre by tram. Our student accommodation is located a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly station, the city’s transport hub, itself found in the heart of Manchester.
Manchester boasts one of the richest talent pools of musicians in the world, having shaped the careers of bands such as The Smiths, Stone Roses, Oasis, Chemical Brothers and Take That. Students can follow in their footsteps at famous venues like Night & Day and the Apollo.
The National Football Museum also calls Manchester home. The multi-million pound building recently opening to mass fanfare and showcases the role the UK has played in shaping the beautiful game.
Similar to London, Manchester is well connected to the rest of the UK. Cities such as Liverpool, Leeds and Sheffield are all within easy reach, and a little over three hours away are the historic Scottish cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
