As one of the founding members of the football league in 1888, which has led to the global business we now recognise, Burnley FC maintains its rightful position at the historic centre of the global game.
UCFB Burnley was the first UCFB campus, opening its doors inside the historic Turf Moor in 2011 as a world first in higher education providing unique degrees in the football and sports industry.
We’re proud to work alongside the club’s charity Burnley FC in the Community and Nelson and Colne College to provide BTEC provision for students, as well as apprenticeships and adult learning courses.
Our current teaching facilities overlook the famous Turf Moor pitch and allow close interaction for the students on a regular basis. The aim is to maximise the use of Turf Moor and its unique position in the town as a place of aspiration and ambition. With six 30 seater classrooms overlooking the pitch, as well as a 150-seater auditorium, the fantastic facilities available will look to offer a multitude of inspirational new opportunities to the communities in and around Burnley.
Within 10 minutes of the UCFB Burnley campus, students can explore other leisure activities such as sailing, mountain biking, rock climbing and other outdoor pursuits in some of the England’s most beautiful countryside. In addition, major cities such as Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds are less than one hour’s travel.
Burnley FC in the Community will also be working closely with the Premier League communities team on a range of new education projects to support educational attainment in the town.
