Accommodation at UCFB

UCFB has partnered with two excellent accommodation providers to ensure students have access to comfortable and secure halls of residence close to both campuses. Grand Felda House in Wembley and both Piccadilly Point in Manchester are available for students studying at UCFB in 2018/19.

UCFB Wembley

UCFB has partnered with CRM Students at Grand Felda House to offer UCFB Wembley students vibrant, safe and centrally-located student accommodation in the heart of Wembley.

Newly built in 2016, Grand Felda House has it all. Each room comes fully furnished and all students receive a free gym and swim membership with the Better gym located on the ground floor. Grand Felda House is in a prime location and just a few minutes’ walk away from the UCFB Wembley campus. Wembley Park underground station is just a five-minute walk and then a short ride to London’s bustling centre. All students benefit from Wi-Fi throughout, on-site laundry, a games room, cinema room, a communal lounge with a flat screen TV, great communal facilities and on-site maintenance and management.

You can choose from a number of different room types at Grand Felda House:

Bronze studio – £205 per week, 42 weeks*

* All Bronze studios are now sold out for 2018. However, you can currently join the waiting list.

(With Means Tested Bursary, applicants typically pay £122 – £182 per week)

Located between the first and eighth floor, this accommodation features a modern kitchenette, a small double storage bed and your own private bathroom.

Bronze en-suite – £195 per week, 42 weeks

(With Means Tested Bursary, applicants typically pay £112 – £172 per week)

Located between the first and eighth floor, this accommodation features a shared kitchen/diner area shared between five students, a small double storage bed and your own private en-suite bathroom.

Silver en-suite – £199 per week, 42 weeks

(With Means Tested Bursary, applicants typically pay £116 – £176 per week)

Located between the ninth and 15th floor, this accommodation features a shared kitchen/diner area shared between five students, a small double storage bed and your own private en-suite bathroom.

Gold en-suite – £204 per week, 42 weeks

(With Means Tested Bursary, applicants typically pay £111 – £171 per week)

Located between the 16th and 17th floor, this accommodation features a shared kitchen/diner area shared between five students, a small double storage bed and your own private en-suite bathroom.

Funding

Applicants eligible to apply for a student maintenance loan can apply to receive up to £11,354 towards their cost of living and accommodation, please visit https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-calculator for an approximate indication of how much you might receive.

In addition, applicants with a household income of less than £40,000 can also apply for a means tested bursary to be paid direct towards any of the above rooms. UCFB Wembley accommodation bursaries are only available to students who book with our partnered accommodation and within our nominated rooms. If you apply to live with our partnered accommodation and choose a non-nominated room you will not be eligible for an accommodation bursary.

Deposits

Grand Felda House require a £250 booking fee, this is payable upon booking. Booking fees are non-refundable after a 14-day cooling off period. Booking fees will then be held until the end of the tenancy as a damage deposit.

Accommodation payment dates

  • * Term 1 rent for 5 weeks due on 29th August 2018
  • Term 2 rent for 15 weeks due on 26th September 2018
  • Term 3 rent for 15 weeks due on 9th January 2019
  • Term 4 rent for 7 weeks due on 4th April 2019

*Please note – term 1 rent payment must be made before you can move into Grand Felda House and if you are receiving a bursary from UCFB please remember bursary payments are ONLY made once you have enrolled to UCFB in September 2018 and not before.

We help all full-time registered 1st year students with accommodation in our nominated partner halls of residence. At our student accommodation site a pastoral team encourage a safe, secure and happy living environment and provide discreet support for students when they need help.

UCFB Etihad Campus

UCFB has partnered with Unite Students at Piccadilly Point to offer UCFB Etihad Campus students vibrant, safe and centrally-located student accommodation in the heart of Manchester.

Piccadilly Point offers 24hr security, onsite CCTV and Wi-Fi.

Piccadilly Point is right in the heart of Manchester city centre, just a minute from Manchester Piccadilly train station. The property’s central location means you’re close to the best shopping and leisure areas that Manchester has to offer.

The rooms available at Piccadilly Point are as follows:

Classic en-suite – £159 per week, 42 week

(With Means Tested Bursary, applicants typically pay £123 – £136 per week)

Classic en-suite rooms are packed with features such as a private bathroom, ¾ sized bed and your own desk and chair. They also benefit from a shared large lounge and kitchen area to relax with your new UCFB flat mates. These rooms are available in 3, 4, 5 & 6 bedroom flats.

Premium 1 en-suite – £164 per week, 42 week*

(With Means Tested Bursary, applicants typically pay £128 – £141 per week)

* All Premium 1 en-suite rooms are now sold out for 2018.

These en-suite rooms offer more floor space than the Classic rooms and are packed with features such as a private bathroom, generous ¾ sized bed and your own desk and chair. Your shared fitted kitchen and living area is an ideal space to relax with your flat mates.

  • Piccadilly Point require a £250 advance rent payment which goes towards the first instalment due in August, this is payable upon booking

  • The £250 goes towards that first rent instalment
