Female students get a taste of a career in sport media thanks to UCFB and Sky Sports

One hundred school girls went behind the scenes at Wembley Stadium as part of a unique event to promote the role women play in sport media.

Law students from around the country gather at UCFB Wembley for UK Sports Law Competition

UCFB Wembley recently played host to 20 student law teams from around the country taking part in the second UK Sports Law Competition.

SMMEX Wembley Stadium event to give UCFB students vital insight and experience

UCFB students will get the chance to network with the cream of the football and sport industry after landing work placement roles at an upcoming conference at Wembley Stadium.

In total, eight students will attend SMMEX – The Sports Merchandise & Marketing Exhibition – at the beginning of March to gain vital work experience and get a closer look at the inner workings of the industry, with some in attendance to film the event for the organisers.

RFL boss Dr. Brian Barwick to speak at UCFB Wembley Taster Day

UCFB is delighted to announce that Dr. Brian Barwick, chairman of the Rugby Football League and Super League, will speak to prospective students at UCFB Wembley as part of a unique Taster Day event.

UCFB Wembley to host prestigious National Sports Law Negotiation Competition

UCFB Wembley is delighted to announce it will host this year’s National Sports Law Negotiation Competition, in conjunction with Shulmans LLP law firm.

The event, which is in its second year and will take place in March, will see students in higher education institutions from around the country compete in mock negotiations dealing with issues currently affecting the sport industry.

Former England manager Steve McClaren confirmed as guest speaker for UCFB Postgraduate Taster Day

UCFB is delighted to announce that former England manager Steve McClaren will be the headline guest speaker at our upcoming Postgraduate Applicant Taster Day.

Students to take to the pitch at the home of the Championship winners

UCFB is delighted to reveal that Burnley campus students and staff will be granted the opportunity to play on the hallowed turf at Turf Moor – home of the newly promoted Burnley FC.

The stadium, that this has season played host to the Football League Championship winners and next year will host Premier League sides, will be open to students from 10am-4pm on Friday 13th May.
