FC United of Manchester’s Under-21 side continued their impressive start to the season with a convincing 6-0 win at Radcliffe in the North West U21 Development League.

The game sprung into life in the first half with action at both ends and good periods of possession for either side, with FC United eventually dominating the game and converting a flurry of chances.

Strikes from Jack Grimshaw, Henry Limpitshi, and two apiece from Elliot Simoes and Fran Frangillo ensured that the visitors followed up on last week’s 7-1 win over Irlam F.C. with another victory.

FC United’s overall performance, teamwork and some outstanding individual displays were encouraging for Head Coach Kevin Braybrook, with the season now in full swing.

Speaking after the game Braybrook commented: “We are again pleased with many aspects of the team performance. We were able to adjust the team shape and many of the players had new individual targets prior to the game.

“The match provided the players different challenges and many of them demonstrated an ability to effect the game. We are working hard to set standards on and off the pitch and are looking forward to another training week in preparation for the upcoming game on Sunday.”
