Freshers’ Week 2018 kicks off this weekend and UCFB will be welcoming all new students to its Wembley and Etihad campuses.

A Quiz & Comedy Night gets things under way in Manchester on Saturday 8 September, and a Welcome Night of activities will introduce students to UCFB Wembley in London.

Monday night at each campus will see students get the chance to experience the local nightlife, with FAC251 – the sight of Factory Records – and XOYO supplying the tunes in Manchester and London respectively.

On Tuesday students at both campuses will be able to FlipOut at the UK’s biggest and best trampoline experience, and major Sports Days will also be held in both London and Manchester on Wednesday 12 September.

The centrepiece of the week will be the Freshers’ Fair with the Etihad Campus event taking place on Wednesday and the Wembley version on the Friday. The Fair will bring together all new students giving them the opportunity to join a wide range of sports clubs and societies which will enable them to make the most of their time at UCFB.

Towards the end of the week in Manchester, students will be able to experience the Bavarian institution that is Bierkeller at the Printworks and enjoy the Oktoberfest festivities, while in London students have the chance to visit The New Den and see Millwall take on high flying Leeds United in the Championship.

Speaking about the upcoming activities in London and Manchester, Dale Hargan, Student Experience Co-ordinator at UCFB Etihad Campus, said: “We can’t wait to welcome all the new students to UCFB. We’ve lined up a number of great activities across both campuses for students to enjoy. I fully recommend students sign up and get involved in Freshers’ Week 2018; it’s a great chance to meet your new classmates and start lifelong friendships.”
