The Football Association and Wembley Stadium+
The FA is the governing body for football in England and is the oldest football association in the world. The governing body is responsible for the England national team at all levels, and operates out of Wembley Stadium and St. George’s Park.
Members of FA staff visit UCFB regularly to speak with students, and a number of UCFB students are able to gain unique work experience opportunities with the organisation.
Wembley Stadium connected by EE is the largest stadium in the UK with a 90,000 capacity and is home to the England national team. As well as the likes of the FA Cup final being played at the venue, a number of summer concerts and NFL games take place under the famous arch. Wembley Stadium is at the heart of the UCFB Wembley, and has been UCFB’s London campus since 2014.
The National League+
UCFB signed a five-year deal with The National League in July 2017 to be its official learning provider. The agreement provides students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience across the league’s 68 clubs and its three divisions.
As part of the ground breaking new deal, UCFB became lead partner of The National League U19 Alliance, further strengthening the institution’s commitment and ties to the English football pyramid. This aspect of the partnership will provide a clear pathway for the U19 Alliance’s school and college student-athletes to progress onto higher education at UCFB.
Real Madrid Graduate School+
The Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, was created on the foundations of two institutions; Real Madrid Football Club and Universidad Europea. With the goal of providing a practical education, the graduate programmes are taught in state-of-the-art facilities, including the Real Madrid facilities at its brand new Sports City and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, as well as Universidad Europea’s campuses.
UCFB and Real Madrid Graduate School have created the unprecedented opportunity for postgraduate students to live, learn and work in London and Madrid.
Burnley FC are a Premier League club with a rich history in English football. The club were one of the founding members of the Football League in 1988 and their Turf Moor home remains one of the great stadiums in British football.
UCFB Burnley was the first UCFB campus, opening its doors at Turf Moor in 2011 as the world’s first higher education provider dedicated to the in the football and sports industry. UCFB chairman and chief executive Brendan Flood also sits on the board of directors at the club.
Kick It Out+
Kick It Out is football’s equality and inclusion organisation, and works throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change. The organisation is funded by The Football Association, Professional Footballers’ Association, Premier League and The English Football League.
At the start of 2018, UCFB and Kick It Out launched The Next 25 scholarship in recognition of the organisation’s 25th anniversary.
League Managers Association+
The League Managers Association is the voice of all managers from the Premier League, the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet Leagues 1 and 2 and the FA Women’s Super Leagues 1 and 2. Since its inception in 1992, the LMA has continued to develop its support and service offering to its members and its influence within the game.
The LMA has become an integral and respected part of the football industry and as football continues to present new challenges, the LMA will grow and adapt to achieve its aims.
Rugby Football League+
The Rugby Football League is the national governing body for rugby league in the UK, and is committed to developing and growing the sport at all levels.
The governing body administers the England Rugby League team, the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup, Betfred Super League and the Kingstone Press Rugby League Championship and League 1, as well as supporting the grassroots game.
UCFB announced a new working partnership with the world’s leading sportswear provider Nike in August 2018.
The deal with Nike, who provide kit and training gear for the likes of the England national team and FC Barcelona, enables senior executives from the brand visit UCFB campuses to deliver guest speaker sessions and conduct video interviews with students to provide valuable insight into elite sportswear. UCFB students also play a key role in new Nike products by participating in focus groups.
In December 2018 UCFB announced a partnership with League Two side Macclesfield Town that will see students help run two new academies for the club.
The partnership gives students the opportunity to experience the demands of working in a professional football academy by working alongside the club’s departments, including the coaching and media teams, at their two new academies in Macclesfield and Manchester.
Queens Park Rangers+
In 2018 UCFB announced a landmark partnership with Queens Park Rangers.
The deal with the Championship side gives students unique work experience opportunities in a professional football environment working alongside the club’s media department.
Bucks New University+
UCFB is a college of Bucks New University, with graduates of all our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes awarded degrees by the institution.
English Schools' FA+
UCFB has announced a ground-breaking new partnership with the English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA), the national governing body for schools’ football in England.
The agreement will result in new employability opportunities for UCFB students at the ESFA and County School FAs as well as the prospect of an ESFA bursary at UCFB.
