The Rugby Football League
UCFB is delighted to announce a partnership with the Rugby Football League that will allow students to gain invaluable work experience opportunities at one of the country’s leading sporting bodies.
The deal with the Rugby Football League, who oversee the likes of the BetFred Super League, will see students and graduates land roles within the organisation itself and at some of its leading clubs.
The Rugby Football League joins a long illustrious list of institutions UCFB is proud to call partners, including The Football Association, Isokinetic and Challenger Sports USA.
The Rugby Football League has already been benefiting from the skills of a UCFB alumni, with former student Nick Roberts working as a partnership executive within the organisation. Rugby Football League chief executive Dr. Brian Barwick has been a keen supporter of UCFB for a number of years and is regularly seen around both campuses in London and Manchester. He is also a member of UCFB’s Employability & Enhancement Panel.
As part of the deal, Kait Ludwig, the Rugby Football League’s club marketing & business operations manager, will appear at UCFB to speak to students about sport marketing. Neil Silver, UCFB’s Employability & Enrichment manager, will also present at the Rugby Football League’s AGM detailing the skills UCFB students can provide the rugby league industry.
UCFB’s Head of Employability & Enrichment, Neil Silver, said: “We’re delighted to have the Rugby Football League join us as partners and further enhance our list of valuable contacts from the sport industry. Partnerships like this enable our students to learn on the job within elite organisations, which ultimately benefits them and their CVs. I’d like to thank the Rugby Football League for their help in getting this partnership over the line and I look forward to a long a fruitful working relationship.”
Kait added: “All of us at the Rugby Football League have enjoyed working with UCFB and their students in the past, so we’re very pleased to now be an official partner. Previous students we’ve welcomed to the RFL have been a huge help to the organisation and we look forward to welcoming more individuals in the coming months.”
