A Football Business & Marketing student at UCFB’s iconic Wembley Stadium campus, Tom spent two weeks working closely with the Sports Brand department, attending high profile meetings, where he was involved in the discussion and implementation of strategic planning, marketing methods, and customer retention. If this wasn’t enough, he is then spending a further two weeks with the Sports & Movies department at Sky Sports, using what he’s learned in his studies at UCFB to focus on how the company can encourage current customers to stay with Sky.
Upon completing the first section of his work experience with the media giant, Tom commented:
“I’m really enjoying my experience, as I have been given the opportunity to work at such a well-respected, popular company. I’m enjoying working hard within the team, and the people I’m meeting and networking with throughout my time here are fantastic. This experience provides me with an amazing opportunity to progress my career.
“It’s also perfect for me, as it gives me an insight into marketing with such a big company, and it goes perfectly alongside the course that I’m currently studying at UCFB. Along with this it teaches me how to work in a high pressured, and fast-paced environment.”
