UCFB will be launching a range of short study programmes and unique certificates, commencing in Summer 2016.

The UCFB Certificate in Sports Management

The UCFB Certificate in Sports Management is a two-week programme which has been designed to provide students with a practical approach to management, underpinned by contemporary business knowledge.

The programme can be used to enhance your current studies at a Higher Education institution or existing knowledge of sports business. This certificate provides the opportunity to study modules for your personal interest or to develop academic knowledge of a niche subject.

UCFB Certificates in Coaching

This two-week Certificate provides the opportunity to evaluate and apply coaching theory to a number of physical contexts, maintaining a portfolio of coaching plans to support your learning.

Through your studies you will gain a clear understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses within coaching and subsequently develop strategies for improvement of technical and behavioural skills relevant to a career in the coaching industry.

You will also complete the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football (The FA Level 1 Coaching award). This provides the initial coaching experience and is the most popular and recognised coaching qualification in the UK. The award provides those new to coaching with a basic introduction to the concepts of planning, organising and delivering safe coaching sessions.

Bespoke Study

Bespoke qualifications can be developed for groups who have a specific interest in a particular element of the football, sport and leisure industries. We welcome groups from other institutions who wish to enhance their tuition.
