Academic team.

Location: UCFB Wembley and UCFB Burnley

As part of our continued success and expansion we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Finance lecturer at each campus who will contribute not only to quality teaching against the Framework for HE Qualifications but support further development of our academic programmes and immerse themselves into our wider Complementary Curriculum for students.

Background and Experience

The successful candidate will:

  •  have a very strong academic record;
  • Masters qualification essential, ideally PhD – although skills and aptitude will be more important;
  • have a very good understanding of the academic finance discipline;
  • have commercial experience and acumen;
  • be fully aware and show an understanding of the QAA UK Quality Code and understand and have a successful track record of using the UK Quality Code to review and enhance academic standards.

The successful candidate will:

  •  have the ability to engage constructively with people;
  • have excellent communication skills;
  • have very good ambassadorial skills;
  • have the ability to manage a number of competing demands;
  • be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • be able to develop their skills and seek advice from a variety of sources.

Though we ideally seek to appoint academics within Sport Business and Finance education who possess strong networks and links to industry, applicants with an excellent profile in teaching and links to professional practice within Finance & Accounting outside of sport education who can translate their knowledge and expertise into sporting context are also greatly encouraged to apply.
