Senior Sport Media Lecturer

Location: UCFB Wembley & UCFB Burnley
Due to our continued growth and success we are looking to appoint a senior lecturer for both our UCFB Wembley and UCFB Burnley campus to support the development and delivery of our Football Business and Media BA (Hons) programme ahead of the 2015/2016 academic year. As a member of the UCFB Academic team you will assure and enhance academic quality, support the development of our academic programme and will immerse yourself into our wider Complementary Curriculum for students. As a successful applicant you will hold a Masters qualification, a proven track record of experience working within the sport media industry alongside a good industry network.
Background and Experience
The successful candidate will:
- have a very strong academic record;
- Masters qualification essential, ideally PhD – although skills and aptitude will be more important;
- have a very good understanding of the academic discipline;
- have commercial experience and acumen;
- be fully aware and show an understanding of the QAA UK Quality Code and understand and have a successful track record of using the UK Quality Code to review and enhance academic standards.

- have the ability to engage constructively with people;
- have excellent communication skills;
- have very good ambassadorial skills;
- have the ability to manage a number of competing demands;
- be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances;
- be able to develop their skills and seek advice from a variety of sources.
